AYLLON is a small town situated in the north-east of the province of Segovia. It stands on the foothills of the central mountain range which is known in this area as the Sierra de Ayllon and is surrounded by the provinces of Burgos, Soria and Guadalajara.
"El POBLE ESPANYOL" was constructed for tourists and is situated on the mountain of
Montjuïc in Barcelona. It is a historical and architectural
summary of all the towns in Spain including Ayllon.
This collection of towns within a 'town' which was designed by Francesc
Folguera and Ramón Reventós, is surrounded by a replica
of the city walls of Ávila with the doorway of Saint Vincent as its main entrance.
